Information on the processing of your personal data.
Below, we provide information on the processing of personal data when using our website. Personal data is any data that can be personally linked to you, such as your name, address, email addresses, or user behavior. With this information, we aim to inform you about our data processing activities and fulfill our legal obligations, particularly under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Part A: Basics and your rights
Section 1 Information on the collection of personal data
(1) Below, we inform you about the processing of personal data when using our website. Personal data is any data that can be personally linked to you, e.g., name, address, email addresses, user behavior. Through this, we would like to inform you about our processing operations and at the same time comply with legal obligations, in particular from the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
(2) The controller pursuant to Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR is:
aboutwater GmbH
Robert-Koch-Str. 2
82152 Planegg
Germany
Phone: +49 89 95 45 93-0
Email: info@aboutwater.de
If you have any questions about data protection, please feel free to contact the aforementioned contact details.
(3) When you contact us by email or via a contact form, the data you provide (your email address, and optionally your name and phone number) will be stored by us to answer your questions.
(4) Unless otherwise specified below, we delete personal data as soon as it is no longer required for the respective processing purpose. For purely inquiries (paragraph 3), we delete the resulting data a maximum of three years after the end of the year in which the data was generated (at the end of the general civil limitation period). If statutory retention obligations prevent deletion, we will restrict the processing of the data instead.
(5) If we use commissioned service providers (processors) for individual functions of our offering or wish to pass on your data to third parties for advertising or functional purposes, we will always carefully select and monitor these partners and inform you in detail below about the respective processes. We will also state the specified storage duration criteria.
§ 2 Your rights
(1) You have the following rights against the controller regarding your personal data:
- Right of access
- Right to rectification or erasure
- Right to restriction of processing
- Right to object to processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to marketing and to withdraw consent.
(2) You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data. The supervisory authority responsible for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany (www.lda.bayern.de).
Part B: Data processing when visiting the website
§ 3 Provision of the website & log files (SiteGround)
(1) When you use the website for informational purposes only – meaning you simply view it without registering or providing us with information in any other way – we process the personal data that your browser sends to our server. The data described below is technically necessary for us to display our website to you, ensure stability and security, and temporarily provide content via technical cache systems.
(2) Data processing is carried out by way of data processing on behalf by our web host, SiteGround Spain S.L., Calle de Prim 19, 28004 Madrid, Spain, based on a contract in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR. The host is not permitted to use the data for its own purposes.
(3) Specifically, the following data is processed:
- IP address
- Date and time of access
- Page visited and content retrieved
- Referrer URL
- Browser and device information
- Technical log data.
(4) The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest in providing our online services securely, stably and efficiently in accordance with Article 6(1)(1)(f) of the GDPR. To the extent that the processing serves to initiate or perform a contract, an additional legal basis is Article 6(1)(1)(b) of the GDPR.
Part C: Right to object and cookies
§ 4 Cookie consents (CookieYes)
(1) We use technical tools on our website for various functions that save information on your device or access information already stored there. In addition to traditional cookies, these technologies also include similar mechanisms such as web beacons, code snippets (tags), HTML5 objects, caches or reading browser settings. Whenever "cookies" are mentioned below, all of these technical processes are included, regardless of whether personal data is involved.
(2) The technical structure of our online shop requires the use of certain techniques (in particular session cookies) to ensure that the site is displayed and functions correctly. The website cannot be provided properly without these strictly necessary functions. They therefore cannot be deselected. Access to the device is based on § 25(2)(2) of the German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act (TDDDG). The subsequent data processing is based on Article 6(1)(1)(f) of the GDPR.
(3) All other, non-technically necessary functions (e.g. for analysing user behaviour or advertising) are only activated with your explicit prior consent.
To manage these consents, we use the consent management platform CookieYes provided by CookieYes Limited, 3 Warren Yard, Warren Park, Wolverton Mill, Milton Keynes, MK12 5NW, United Kingdom. The provision and documentation are carried out by way of data processing on behalf based on a contract in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR (cf. § 6(2)). You can make your selection via the cookie banner. Your settings are stored in a cookie on your device so that your preferences are retained for subsequent page views. Access to the device is based on § 25(1) of the TDDDG in conjunction with your consent; the subsequent data processing is based on Article 6(1)(1)(a) of the GDPR.
(4) You can withdraw your consent at any time in the consent manager with effect for the future. You can also configure your browser to generally prevent cookies from being set or to inform you beforehand. You can manually delete cookies that have already been saved in your browser settings at any time.
§ 5 Your right to object and withdraw consent
(1) If you have given consent to the processing of your data, you can withdraw it at any time. Such a withdrawal affects the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data after you have communicated it to us using the contact details provided in § 1(2). The lawfulness of the processing of your data up to the time of your withdrawal remains unaffected.
(2) To the extent that we base the processing of your personal data on the balancing of interests pursuant to Article 6(1)(1)(f) of the GDPR, you can object to the processing at any time. This is the case if the processing is not necessary, in particular, for the performance of a contract with you, which is described by us in each case in the subsequent description of the functions.
When exercising such an objection, we ask you to explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data in the manner carried out by us. We will then examine the situation and either adjust or cease the data processing or point out our compelling legitimate grounds on the basis of which we will continue the processing.
(3) You can naturally object to the processing of your personal data for advertising and data analysis purposes at any time without giving reasons. You can exercise your advertising objection using the contact details provided in § 1(2).
Part D: Data processing when shopping in the webshop
(6) Shopping and further website functions
(1) In addition to the purely informational use of our website, we offer the possibility to order goods. In doing so, we use common functions for analysing or marketing our offers, which are presented in more detail below. To do this, you generally need to provide additional personal data, or we process such additional data that we use to provide the respective services. The aforementioned principles regarding data processing in §§ 1–5 apply to all data processing purposes described here.
(2) In some cases, we use external service providers (processors pursuant to Article 28 of the GDPR) to provide, manage and technically secure our website as well as to process orders. These are carefully selected by us, are strictly bound by our instructions and are regularly monitored. These categories of recipients include:
- Hosting, cloud and technical IT service providers (operation, maintenance, support and data backup of the website; SiteGround, § 3; Weglot, § 19),
- Consent management providers (for collecting and documenting cookie consents; CookieYes, § 4),
- Email dispatch and communication service providers (for sending transactional emails and for chat communication; SendLayer, § 8; Chatbase, § 15)
- Form and CRM service providers (for the structured processing of your enquiries and management of customer relations; Typeform, § 14; Zoho CRM & Flow, § 16).
(3) Furthermore, we may pass on your personal data to third parties who act as independent data controllers or with whom we share joint controllership, if the order processing, dispatch of goods, payment processing or product customisation is offered by us jointly with partners. To the extent that these partners act under their own data protection responsibility or jointly with us as controllers (Art. 28 GDPR), we inform you below in the specific tool descriptions. These categories of recipients include:
- Payment service providers & banks (PayPal, house banks; § 7 para. 2),
- Quality seal and review systems (Trusted Shops; § 7 para. 3),
- Analytics, marketing and media services (Google services such as Tag Manager, Analytics 4, Ads, Conversion Tracking, YouTube, Maps; §§ 10-13, 17 f.).
(4) If our service providers or partners are based in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you of the consequences in the description of the offer.
§ 7 Shopping in the shop and payment processing (WooCommerce, PayPal & Trusted Shops)
(1) If you wish to place an order in our webshop, it is necessary for the conclusion of the contract that you provide your personal data. We use the WooCommerce system for our online shop to present products online and enable orders. This is operated locally on our servers; there is no independent data transmission to the software developer Automattic Inc. When you place an order, we process the data required for processing (e.g. name, company, VAT identification number (VAT no.), billing and delivery address, email address, telephone number, ordered products, order value and payment method). Mandatory information required for the fulfilment of contracts is marked separately, further information is voluntary. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR (insofar as you are a contracting party yourself, e.g. as a sole trader) or Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR (insofar as you act as a contact person for our B2B customer; our legitimate interest lies in the proper processing of the order).
(2) We offer various payment methods for payment in our online shop (in particular PayPal, credit card, advance payment or invoice). Depending on the selected payment method, your payment data is processed and transmitted to the respective payment service provider or our house bank. We never store complete credit card data on our own systems. Data is passed on to service providers on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR.
When paying via PayPal, your payment data will be transmitted to PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, 2449 Luxembourg. PayPal acts as an independent data controller here (§ 6 para. 3). You can find PayPal's data protection provisions at: https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full.
(3) To display our quality seal and the collected reviews, the Trustbadge of Trusted Shops SE, Subbelrather Str. 15c, 50823 Cologne, is integrated into this website. The Trustbadge and the services advertised with it are an offer from Trusted Shops SE, with whom we are joint data controllers pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR (§ 6 para. 3). This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in optimal marketing and secure shopping in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
Technical access to your end device to load the badge takes place on the basis of § 25 para. 2 no. 2 TDDDG. When the Trustbadge is called up, the web server automatically saves a server log file (including your IP address, date/time). This access data is not evaluated and is automatically overwritten no later than seven days after the end of your site visit. Further data is only sent to Trusted Shops SE if you actively decide to use Trusted Shops products after an order. In this case, Trusted Shops acts as an independent controller.
(4) Due to commercial and tax law requirements, we are obliged to store your address, payment and order data for a period of ten years. However, we restrict processing after three years, meaning that from this point onwards your data will be processed exclusively to comply with statutory retention obligations. The legal basis for this ten-year retention and documentation is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR in conjunction with the retention periods under tax and commercial law pursuant to § 257 HGB (German Commercial Code) and § 147 AO (German Fiscal Code).
(5) To prevent unauthorised third-party access to your personal data, the order process is encrypted using SSL or TLS technology. You can recognise an encrypted connection by "https://" in your browser's address bar.
(6) To determine the origin of shop visits and orders, we use the WooCommerce Order Attribution / Sourcebuster function. Cookies (in particular with the prefix sbjs_*) are stored on your end device for this purpose. These cookies generally have a storage period of up to 6 months. Access to your end device and the storage of cookies take place on the basis of § 25 para. 1 TDDDG in conjunction with your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR via our consent manager (CookieYes). You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future via the manager.
§ 8 Email dispatch for transactional notifications (SendLayer)
(1) For the dispatch of transactional emails as part of the initiation, processing and follow-up of orders (in particular order and shipping confirmations, status notifications and contract-relevant system messages), we use the SendLayer email dispatch service provided by SendLayer, LLC, 400 Executive Center Drive, Suite 208, West Palm Beach, FL 33401, USA. The service is used by us as a data processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR (§ 6 para. 2).
(2) Personal data required to create and deliver these notifications is processed in the process. This includes in particular your contact details (name, email address), contract and order data (e.g. ordered items, invoice amount, order number), communication content and technical access data (such as IP address, date and time of email retrieval and delivery status messages).
(3) Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, provided that the sending of emails is necessary for the fulfilment of a contract with you or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Furthermore, processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in a technically reliable, prompt and optimised provision and delivery of essential customer and system information.
(4) If data is transferred to SendLayer, LLC in the USA, this third-country transfer is based on appropriate data protection guarantees (in particular the conclusion of EU standard contractual clauses).
(5) You can find SendLayer's general data protection information at: https://sendlayer.com/privacy-policy/.
§ 9 Advertising for existing customers
(1) We do not send out regular general newsletters. However, if you are already a customer of ours (meaning you have made a purchase in our online shop or made a specific enquiry to us), we may occasionally use your email address to inform you about similar goods of our own (such as accessories or new models of our water bottles) as well as relevant service information.
(2) You can object to this use of your data for advertising purposes at any time, incurring no costs other than the transmission costs at basic rates. You can submit your objection, for example, by email to info@aboutwater.de or via the unsubscribe link at the end of every promotional email.
(3) The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR in conjunction with Section 7 (3) of the German Unfair Competition Act (UWG), based on our legitimate interest in active customer care and the promotion of similar products from our range.
Section 10 Technical administration of scripts (Google Tag Manager)
(1) We use Google Tag Manager on our website to centrally manage various analytics, marketing and functional tools and to integrate them on the interface using code components known as tags. Tag Manager merely ensures the delivery and orderly activation of these services described below, but does not itself collect any data via cookies or create its own user profiles. The provider of the service is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as "Google").
(2) When you visit our website, a connection to Google's servers is established via Google Tag Manager. In this process, your IP address in particular may be processed. Google Tag Manager is used exclusively for the technical provision and administration of downstream tags. It does not store cookies itself and does not create its own user profiles.
(3) To the extent that data is processed outside the EEA (particularly in the USA) in connection with the use of this service and all Google services mentioned below (Sections 11, 12, 13, 17, 18), the data protection level is secured by Google's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the conclusion of the official EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
(4) The integration of Google Tag Manager and the associated technical transmission take place on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR in a stable, high-performing and centralised management of the functions used on our website.
(5) You can find Google's general privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
Section 11 Web analytics (Google Analytics 4)
(1) We use the web tracking tool Google Analytics from the provider Google (Section 10 (1)) on our website to analyse the interactions of our site visitors. Our Google Analytics account is also linked to our Google Ads account (Section 12) to evaluate the success of advertising campaigns and key events (conversions). Google Analytics uses cookies for this purpose (specifically _ga and _ga_*), data about your device/browser and information about your website activities. We use Google Tag Manager for the technical administration and control of this analytics tag.
(2) As soon as you give your consent, your browser establishes a connection to Google's servers. Your IP address is recorded in the process to ensure the security of the service and to enable a rough location determination (region). However, the IP address is shortened by Google using IP masking before it is stored permanently or used for evaluations. We ourselves only receive aggregated, anonymous statistics. The maximum storage period for the processed data is 14 months.
(3) The processing of your data by Google is generally carried out on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR (Google Ads Data Processing Terms). To the extent that data is transmitted to Google in connection with the link to Google Ads or the analysis of advertising functions and is processed by Google under its own data protection responsibility, the provisions on joint or independent controllership (Google Measurement Controller-Controller Data Protection Terms) shall apply additionally.
(4) With regard to the safeguarding of third-country transfers, the central rule from Section 10 (3) applies.
(5) The storage of cookies or access to your end device takes place on the basis of Section 25 (1) of the German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act (TDDDG). The subsequent data processing takes place exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via our consent manager (CookieYes) or by installing Google's browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).
(6) You can find Google's general privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
Section 12 Marketing & advertisements (Google Ads)
(1) We use Google Ads from the provider Google (Section 10 (1)) to draw attention to our offers on external websites using advertising materials (so-called "ad server cookies"). If you reach our website via a Google ad, a cookie is stored on your end device. This enables Google to recognise your browser in order to record parameters for success measurement (e.g. ad impressions, clicks, unique cookie ID, advertising prices). The cookies set during this process generally lose their validity after 30 days. We use Google Tag Manager for the technical administration and control of these marketing tags.
(2) As soon as you give your consent, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to Google's servers. There is a possibility that Google may collect your IP address and technical metadata – even if you do not have a Google account. If you are logged into your personal Google account during your visit, Google can directly associate this data with your profile and evaluate your browsing behaviour. We do not collect any independent data in this process ourselves, but merely receive anonymous statistical reports on ad performance from Google.
To the extent that Google processes personal data in connection with the provision of Google Ads services, the Google Measurement Controller-Controller Data Protection Terms agreed between the parties shall apply additionally. Otherwise, Google processes personal data for its own purposes under its own data protection responsibility.
(3) With regard to the safeguarding of third-country transfers, the central rule from Section 10 (3) applies.
(4) The storage of cookies or access to your end device takes place on the basis of Section 25 (1) TDDDG. The subsequent data processing takes place exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time via our consent manager (CookieYes).
(5) You can find Google's general privacy policy and specific information on advertising technologies at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
Section 13 Advertising performance measurement (Google Conversion Tracking)
(1) We use Google Ads with the additional application "Google Conversion Tracking" from the provider Google (Section 10 (1)). This is a procedure based on a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR (in accordance with the Google Ads Data Processing Terms, Section 6 (2)) with which we check the success of our advertising campaigns. For this purpose, our advertisements are provided with a technical mechanism (e.g. an ID). Our Google Ads property is linked to our Google Analytics 4 account (Section 11); via this link, Google Analytics metrics and key events (conversions) can be transmitted to Google Ads and data from Google Ads can be evaluated in Google Analytics.
(2) If you complete a desired customer activity after clicking on an advertisement (such as making a purchase in our online shop or submitting a form), the system recognises the cookie (specifically _gcl_au) via an integrated code snippet. Conversion cookies generally have a storage duration of 30 to 90 days. This process provides Google with technical data used to generate reports for us. We receive these reports in a purely statistical format, such as the total number of readers or particularly popular ads, which are also used for billing purposes regarding advertising costs. We cannot use this information to personally identify you.
(3) With regard to the safeguarding of third-country transfers, the central rule from Section 10 (3) applies.
(4) The storage of cookies or access to your device takes place on the basis of § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. The loading of the tracking code and the associated data processing are carried out exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You can manage and revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future via our consent manager (CookieYes).
(5) Google's general privacy policy and specific information regarding conversion services can be found at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
§ 14 Contact forms (Typeform)
(1) For certain enquiry and contact forms on our website, we use the Typeform tool provided by Typeform S.L., Can Llongat, Carrer de la Peninsula 22, 08003 Barcelona, Spain. When you fill out and submit such a form, the data you enter is transmitted to Typeform and processed on our behalf in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR (§ 6 para. 2). For business customers, this processing also covers personal data of the respective contact person (e.g. name, email address, telephone number, department and area of responsibility) in addition to purely corporate data, in order to gain a precise and efficient understanding of the enquiry.
(2) This data is processed to carry out pre-contractual measures or to fulfil a contract in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, provided your enquiry is aimed at initiating a specific contract. In the case of general enquiries, processing is based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR in the efficient, structured and targeted handling of incoming customer enquiries.
(3) Typeform's general privacy policy can be found at: https://admin.typeform.com/to/dwk6gt/.
§ 15 Interactive customer service chatbot (Chatbase)
(1) We use the chatbot service Chatbase, provided by Chatbase Inc., 2261 Market Street STE 85690, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA, on our website. This service allows you to interactively ask questions about our offers and receive automated answers.
(2) When using the chatbot, the system stores the functional cookie chatbase_anon_id on your device to recognise your chat session across multiple visits and assign the conversation history. The cookie is deleted after the session ends or after 30 days at the latest. In addition, the text messages you enter into the chat window are processed. Chatbase acts as a data processor for us in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR (§ 6 para. 2).
(3) The use of the chatbot and access to your device take place on the basis of your consent pursuant to § 25 para. 1 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, which you grant via the consent manager (CookieYes) or by actively using the chatbot, and which you can revoke at any time with effect for the future.
(4) To the extent that data is transferred to Chatbase Inc. in the USA, this third-country transfer is based on appropriate data protection safeguards (in particular, the conclusion of EU standard contractual clauses).
(5) Chatbase's general privacy policy can be found at: https://www.chatbase.co/legal/privacy.
§ 16 Customer management & data flow (Zoho CRM & Flow)
(1) To organise, centrally manage and maintain our customer and prospect relationships, data collected via our forms is automatically transferred via the integration tool Zoho Flow to our customer management system, Zoho CRM. These tools are provided by Zoho Corporation B.V., Beneluxlaan 4B, 3527 HS Utrecht, Netherlands. Zoho processes this data on our behalf as a data processor in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR (§ 6 para. 2). The processing regularly includes personal data of the responsible contact persons on the side of our corporate and business customers (esp. name, direct business telephone and fax numbers, email address, position in the company as well as historical interaction data). This serves the purpose of mapping as complete a picture of the customer relationship as possible and ensuring seamless customer communication.
(2) The processing and structuring of this data in our CRM system is based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR (performance of a contract and pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the standard business and IT-supported organisation of our operations, the central management of project data, and the sustainable maintenance and cultivation of our customer relationships.
(3) Zoho's general privacy policy can be found at: https://www.zoho.com/privacy.html.
§ 17 Embedding videos (YouTube)
(1) We may embed videos from the YouTube platform on our website to display visual content directly to you. The service is provided by Google (§ 10 para. 1). Embedding is done, where technically available, via YouTube's enhanced privacy mode. According to Google, this mode ensures that the playback of an embedded video is not used to personalise the user experience on YouTube or to personalise advertising outside our website. Any advertising displayed within the player should not be personalised. Simply visiting a page where a YouTube player is directly embedded may establish a connection to Google's servers. In the process, your IP address, browser and device information, date and time of access, and the address of the page visited or the referrer URL may be transmitted to Google.
(2) If you play the video or interact with the YouTube player, further data may be transmitted to and processed by Google. If you are logged into your Google or YouTube account at the time, Google can directly associate this data with your profile. Google also processes this data from non-logged-in users to create user profiles for market research and tailored advertising.
You must lodge any objection to this profiling directly with Google. To the extent that Google processes personal data in the course of providing the video service, this processing is partly carried out under Google's own data protection responsibility.
(3) With regard to the safeguarding of third-country transfers, the central rule from Section 10 (3) applies.
(4) The storage of cookies or access to your device takes place on the basis of § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. The playback of the videos and the associated data processing are carried out exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future via our consent manager (CookieYes).
(5) Google's general privacy policy and specific information regarding video services can be found at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
§ 18 Interactive maps (Google Maps)
(1) We may use Google Maps on this website to display interactive maps directly on the website and enable you to use the map functions conveniently (e.g. for location searches or route planning). The service is provided by Google (§ 10 para. 1).
(2) As soon as you give your consent and activate the map, your browser establishes a direct connection to Google's servers. In the process, Google receives information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website, as well as basic technical data such as your IP address. If you are logged in to Google, this data is directly assigned to your account. If you do not wish for this data to be associated with your profile, you must log out before activation. Google also processes your data for non-logged-in users as user profiles for market research, tailored advertising, and the design of its services. You must direct any objections to this profiling directly to Google. To the extent that Google processes personal data in the course of providing the map service, this processing is partly carried out under Google's own data protection responsibility.
(3) With regard to the safeguarding of third-country transfers, the central rule from Section 10 (3) applies.
(4) The storage of cookies or access to your end device takes place on the basis of § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. The loading of interactive maps and the associated data processing take place exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via our consent manager (CookieYes).
(5) General information on data protection from Google as well as specific information on mapping services can be found at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
Section 19 Language switcher (Weglot)
(1) We use the Weglot service to provide the content of our website in different languages and to offer you automatic translation. The provider is Weglot SAS, 14 avenue de l'Europe, 92270 Bois-Colombes, France. Weglot processes this data on our behalf as a processor in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR (Section 6 para. 2). To ensure the translation can be delivered technically error-free, the system processes your IP address and your internet browser's language settings. Permanent storage or evaluation of this data for marketing purposes does not take place.
(2) Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the standard business and barrier-free provision of our online offering for international users, as well as in optimizing the user-friendliness of our website.
(3) General information on data protection from Weglot can be found at: https://weglot.com/privacy/.

(2) The current privacy policy can be accessed and printed out by you at any time on this website.
